   It was a cold, damp Winter afternoon. As I watched the rain drizzle outside my window, I was reminded that opportunities cling to us only as long as rain does to a tree branch. If we don’t take immediate action, they will drop to the ground and be lost. Amidst the gray sky, we only had to focus to see how abundant, but fleeting, these opportunities could be. And then, the rain stopped.

   Good Idea. Words absence of should force one to perceive and image in a slightly (or not so slightly) different way.
