Peace, Song and Silence: Sandy Hook
First, I am going to be participating in a blogger day of Silence on Tuesday, December 18th.

We are also raising money that will go to an organization in the memory of this tragedy. The organization is called The Newtown Family Youth and Family Services.
Here is the official description of the support service we are donating to:
“Newtown Youth and Family Services, Inc. is a licensed, non-profit, mental health clinic
highest potential. NYFS provides programs, services, activities, counseling, support
groups and education throughout the Greater Newtown area.
ANY DONATIONS MADE TO NEWTOWN YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES WILL BE DONATED DIRECTLY TO THOSE AFFECTED BY THE SANDY HOOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SHOOTING.”
Please visit THIS PAGE to make your donation.
We can’t imagine how they must be feeling, especially this close to the holidays. We would love for you to spread the word on your own blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Let’s make a difference and use blogging in a positive way.
Thank you in advance for participating.
Love,
The Blog World
p.s. If you would like to, copy-paste and repost any part of this, please do. Share on.

Looking Deeper

A very important message of hope, Cyndi! I love your compassion, and I love the idea of peace rallies. Bless you lil’ Sis!
Very beautiful message and will definitely have to check out the blog you linked here. Stand By Me has distinct meaning in my own house. The night I gave birth to Emma, when Kevin was driving home this was the first song that came on the radio that fated night. He always tells of this and how when he hears it it reminds him or Emma and now I can’t help, but hear it and think of that night, too. Thanks for sharing this Cyndi.
[...] My friend Cyndi wrote a blog today about a day of silence this coming Tuesday in memory of the victims in Connecticut. She also wrote about her desire to organize or become a part of a peach rally. All admirable thoughts and I salute that thinking. I leave it to the politicians to debate gun control. I am much more concerned with what I can do to help humanity, and what I definitely can do is be a living example of peace and love. [...]
Beautiful post. Shared on Twitter!
What a beautiful message! I didn’t know about this….my Internet has been acting up and I just caught up with everything. I’ll be participating tomorrow with this too and sharing. x
